We knew we wanted to start our own small business and wished to make use of some of the wonderful traditional skills we still have in England. We thought our products should be different, unique and made to a quality that would ensure a long life.
The idea for fine handcrafted storage really evolved from our own living experience of running a busy household and constantly needing to organise, reorganise and store things safely.
With only a few ideas and some traditional materials we set about making a few prototypes in our shed. From there everything moved quickly and Harris & Jones was launched in November 2008 for the first of many Fairs and Exhibitions.
